CRC Competitive Juniors Program
The Conshohocken Rowing Center offers a 6-week competitive Junior Program during the summer. This program is for experienced and novices. A novice athlete is someone that has not raced in a regatta before June of the current year. Any athletes under the age of 14 should inquire for approval.
The junior program operates out of the state-of-the-art rowing facility along the banks of the upper Schuylkill River. CRC is one of the premier junior rowing destinations in the Philadelphia area.
Rowers from all over the region are welcome to apply. CRC will be accepting around 80 athletes, both boys and girls, ages 14 to 19, and all experience levels for our competitive program (this includes Coxswains). The program focuses on both methods of rowing, sweep and sculling. With close to 50 singles, over a dozen doubles, 18 quads/fours, and 3 eights the rowing center has unlimited opportunities for athletes to get on the water.
The program runs mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon Monday through Friday. In addition to the mornings, CRC provides optional afternoon small-boat sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 to 5:30. There are no practices on weekends, only races. Most athletes will compete in local Philadelphia races. Select athletes will have opportunities to to race at US Rowing Summer Nationals and Canadian Henley.
Independence Day Regatta June 28-30 (Philadelphia, PA)
Philadelphia Youth Regatta July 20 (Philadelphia, PA)

In the past several years CRC has had success both locally and internationally. The junior program has won the points trophy at the Philly Youth Regatta the past 8 regattas and won numerous events at the Independence Day Regatta and US Rowing Nationals. The Mens U19 quad has won both 2018, 2019, and 2023 Summer Nationals and 2018 and 2019 Canadian Henley regattas.
There will be an information meeting on the Thursday prior (June 15) to the first day of practice at 6:30 at CRC.
CRC does NOT accept partial payments for the Competitive Program even if athletes can not participate the full camp. There are Trip Fees for any regattas outside the Philadelphia area.
